Big and little. IB class and teacher Gina Posirca.

I worked with students at the computer room and I viewed the story "The giant and the boy." Children have repeated the words giant and the boy. Then they drew different objects big and little. They told each other what they drew and which are big or little.
I then chose different objects, toys and books, big and little. Children spoke: “ my toy is big, my toy is little, my book is big, my book is little...
With designs that activity will make the class book: “big or little”.

IB. Singing :"Five little monkeys"

Teacher Gina Posirca.

My friend teacher Daniela Ionescu and her class.

III D class. They are singing, dancing and playing drama for all of you.

Hi!
I’m Daniela Ionescu, primary schoolteacher and Gina’s friend. She tells me about your project. My pupils and I was very enthusiastic. My class, 3D has 25 students eager to learn English from your tales.
First, we read the book “Mommy carry me please” and we liked it very much. The children understood the message of the text – mothers always take care of their children and make sure that they have all they need or like; they understood that all the mothers in the world (of humans or animals) are alike – they love and care their babies.
Than, the children proposed improvising the other lines (mothers’ answers). It was like a role-play in pairs: one child was the mother and the other was the baby. They had a great time. For example, in a moment they wanted to put in a mother’s role, a boy, just for fun. Finally, they haven’t done that.
For the role-play they drew some pictures with animals. Also they sang some songs that they have already known: wild animals or livestock water. The last song, “The Wolf and the Five Little Rabbits”, was a kind of a musical game. Although the songs weren’t about the same animals in the story, they wanted to sing them because they liked them a lot.
The benefits from this activity were both for the children and for the teacher. We used English – reading, writing, speaking, and recycle vocabulary. Also we used a camera to make the film and the computer. We hope you’ll enjoy watching our activity!
